Priscilla C. Kernan died at her home in Klamath Falls, Saturday, January 11, at teh age of 74 years. She was born in DeKalb county, Missouri, and crossed the plains by ox team with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeptha Thornton, in 1865. The family first settled in Yamhill county but came to Douglas county, settling at Oak Creek in 1869. She was married to W.H. Kernan, January 14, 1883. Mr. Kernan died many years ago, and Mrs. Kernan continued to live at Oak Creek until 1912, when she moved to Lake county, and later to Klamath Falls. She leaves two sons and one daughter, John J. Kernan of Eugene, Henry Kernan of Klamath Falls, and Mrs. R.E. Agee of Klamath Falls; also three brothers, J.J. THornton of Eugene, J.L. Thornton of Portland and S. I. Thornton of Roseburg. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Roseburg Undertaking parlors at 1:30 p.m. Interment at the Oak Creek Cemetery. after 11 January 1930 Roseburg, Douglas County, Oregon.
Obituary: An obituary appeared in the Priscilla Cordelia Kernan, a resident of this city for the past 8 years, passed away at her late residence 2412 Eberlein street, Saturday afternoon at 4:07 o'clock following an illness of several days. She was born in Missouri and aged 72 years, eight months and 9 days at the time of her death. She is survived by two sons, J. Kernan of Eugene, and Henry Kernan of Klamath Falls, one daugher Mrs. Maggie Agee of Klamath Falls; two grandsons, Ralph Turner and William Kernen both of Klamath Falls, three brothers, J.J. Thornton of Eugene, J.L. Thornton of Portland and S. Thornton of Roseburg and a sister Jane Murray of Glenwood, Washington. The remains are in the charge of Earl Whitlock Funeral Home, Pine Avenue at Sixth street where friends may call.
