    Lander-Services for Lander resident Loucille Charlotte (Kiesel) Adams, 92, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home, in Lander by the Rev. Bob Eldan of Trinity Episcopal Church of Lander. She died on her birthday, Aug. 10, 2002, at Lander Valley Medical Center, from complications after a fall. Born Aug. 10, 1910, in Lander, she was the daughter of Charles J. Kiesel and Adelaide P. Mueller. After her parents' deaths, she and her sister, Thelma, attended St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, Neb. She graduated from high School in Fairfield, Minn. Returning to Wyoming to obtain her teaching certificate in 1927, she lived on the Noble Ranch and became a teacher in the Dubois, Crowheart and Twin Creek areas. In June 1932, she married James Keith Adams in Lander. After raising her family, she started working at Fremont County Public Library in 1951 and, eventually became the children's librarian. In September 2000, she was recognized by the Wyoming Library Association. She was a former den mother for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and a troop leader for the Brownies and Girl Scouts. A charter member of the Wyoming Archaeological Society, she served as an officer for the state association and Fremont County Flintstones Chapter. In 1988, she and her husband shared the Golden Trowel award; and, that same year, she earned an individual Golden Trowel. She was awarded an honorary membership in 2000. She was a member of the Lander Rock Club and the couple belonged to the American Rock Research Association and Fremont County Historical Society. They enjoyed traveling throughout the West and Southwest, searching for rock art and scenery to photograph; and visited family around the country. Survivors include four children, Kaye Marie Miller of Pine Valley, Calif., Charles Keith Adams of Casper, Yvonne A. Adams of Martinez, Calif., and Douglas James Adams of Tukwila, Wash; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, three infant brothers and a grandson.     After graduating from the University of Minnesota, she spent several years working as a dietitian at a hospital in Omaha.
    She married C. Bradford Croston on Aug. 16, 1941, in Faribault, Minn. They settled initially in Peoria, Ill., but moved to Cook, Wash., in 1951, and McMinnville in 1973. During their years in Washington, she worked at Skyline Hospital in White Salmon.
    She was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and the National Association of Federal Employees. She was active in the Oregon State University Extension Service and Baker Creek Extension Club.
    She enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was the sweetest, kindest and most loving mother, the family said.
    Mrs. Croston is survived by a son, Ralph Croston of Cook , Wash; a daughter, Judy Keck of Scappoose; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991 and a brother, Vern Juaire.
