Then while visiting a niece, Mrs. William (Charlotte) Parr in Camas, Wash., earlier this month he was the guest of honor at a surprise party of relatives in that area. He and Mrs. Agee had traveled with Mrs. Parr to Astoria, for a vacation trip, previous to this.

  A funeral for former Sheridan resident Doris Belle Agee of McMinnville will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. Interment will be private.
  
  The funeral home will be open for viewing from noon to 6 p.m. today and Sunday.
  
  Mrs. Agee died June 12, 2002, in McMinnville Life Care Center. She was 80.
  
  She was born April 15, 1922, in Sheridan, the daughter of William Earl and Ida Belle Long Smith. She attended Gopher Valley School. She worked in Thomson Brothers Sawmill during World War II.
  
  She and George F. Agee were married Dec. 1, 1945, in Camas, Wash.
  
  After marrying, she worked in the bean and berry fields. She lived almost all her life in Sheridan. She lived in Willamina briefly before moving back to Sheridan in 1998. She had lived in McMinnville since 2001.
  
  Mrs. Agee loved hunting, fishing and camping. She also loved animals.
  
  Survivors include a brother, William Smith of McMinnville; two sisters, Alta Sanderlin of Sheridan and Elma Bronson of Molalla; and several nieces and nephews.
  
  She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978, and by two brothers, Delbert Smith and Doyle Smith.
