    Robert Leo Donahoe, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at his Spokane home.
    He was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Tekoa, Wash., to Leo and Mary Ellen Merriman Donahoe.
    Robert served with the U.S. Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945. After the war he worked for 31 years as a locomotive engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad in Rosalia, Wash. He was a resident of Spokane County for 70 years.
    He loved attending high school sporting events and was a member of the Indian Canyon Golf Club. He was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1971.
    Robert is survived by his children, Bobby Donahoe of Spokane and Judy Cosner of Tampa, Fla; brothers Dan Donahoe of Lewiston, Jerry Donahoe and wife Joy and Mike Donahoe and wife Linda, all of Spokane; a sister, Rosie Vill of Portland, Ore; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
    A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes in Spokane. The Rev. Msgr. James Ribble will be the celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Spokane.
    Memorial donations may be sent to Alcoholics Anonymous, 1614 W. Riverside LL-55, Spokane, WA 99201.
    Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hennessey Smith of Spokane. on Friday, 8 November 2002 Lewiston, Nez Perce County, Idaho.

    A 55-year Spokane resident, Mr. Donahoe died Friday. He was born in Tekoa, Wash.
    He graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1951 and served in the Army during the Korean War.
    Mr. Donahoe worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Bears Co., and B & B Distributors.
    In 1982 he started Gene's Northside Pools and Service.
    He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church where he served as an usher and was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Teamster Local 690.
    Survivors include his wife, Ella; a son Scott Donahoe of Puyallup, Wash; a daughter Michelle Holmes of Spokane; two stepsons, Scott and Kirk Smith, both of Spokane; a stepdaughter Diannia Percy of Seattle; four brothers Jerry, Bob and Mike Donahoe, all of Spokane and Dan Donahoe of Lewiston, Idaho; two sisters Rosie Vill and Betty Timmerman, both of Spokane; and nine grandchildren.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Building Fund.
