PERRYDALE - Luzelle Frink, 86, died Wednesday in Salem.
She was born in Smithfield. She graduated from Rickreall High School in 1930, where she played on the championship basketball team. Her love of basketball took her to all of her son's and grandchildren's games. She belonged to Perrydale Pinochle and Goodwill clubs, and she enjoyed working with flowers.
Survivors include her husband, E. Milton, whom she married in 1938 son, Norman of Salem brothers, Dale Crippen of Salem and Marnis Crippen of Milwaukie sisters, Jean Liekas of Naselle, Wash., and Barbara Smith of Portland three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Jan. 23 at Macy & Son Funeral Directors in McMinnville. Private interment will be at Bethel Cemetery. Contributions: Salvation Army or Willamette Valley Hospice, in care of the mortuary.
