Micajah Belieu, of Knox County. During a residence of 9 years in this county, her visage, once healthy as her constitution was vigorous, had, for several years, parted with its rosy flushes and yielded to a slow but fatal decline; as it approached near its final crisis, her reason was unimpaired. She viewed death as near and was willing to meet it. She was anxious to join in the prayers of the pious, not apparently from a view of the terrors of dissolution, but from a feeling of duty. Mrs. Belieu has left behind her an affectionate husband and ten children with a number of acquaintances to deplore her loss – but their loss is her infinite gain.”
