Rick was born June 5, 1956 in Seattle, Wash. the son of Richard Kent and Evelyn Harriett Stacer. He passed away at his Cortez home on Friday, May 2, 2014 at the age of 57. Attending the University of California at San Diego, Rick graduated with a double major. He was a Pharmacy Technician at the Cortez Wal-Mart Pharmacy working closely with his co-workers. Rick was always very friendly and a helpful person to many. He was a very spiritual person and always willing to give. In Rick's free time, he enjoyed collecting stones, gems and minerals. Surviving Rick are his mother, Evelyn R. Stacer of Mancos; his domestic partner, Cheryal Jefferson of Cortez; brother, Jefferson L. Stacer and wife, Dr. Deena Stacer of San Diego, Calif; and sister, Tara J. Stacer of Cortez. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Stacer. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope's Kitchen, P.O. Box 1016, Cortez, Colo. 81321. after 2 May 2014.
