Mr. Helms was a member of My Father's House in Redmond, Westside Church in Bend and Narcotics Anonymous. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Donna of Bend; three sons, Lee, Solomon and Jason, all of Bend; three daughters, Shaneka of Bend and Shadya Towne and Sharita Towne, both of North Highland, Calif; his father, Ed Coleman of Salem; three brothers, Willie, Frank Coleman and Eddie Coleman, all of Salem; two sisters, Clara Harris and Darlene Coleman both of Salem; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, his mother, a brother and a grandson. Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. on Saturday, 29 May 2004 Bend, Deschutes County, Oregon.
