He spent his childhood living in various small towns throughout Montana. Forty-two years ago Don ventured to Seattle. He worked in marine refrigeration for other people until he and a friend were able to form the company Cold Seas Refrigeration. Don loved this line of work and continued employment on an as need basis even after he retired. Don is survived by his best friend of twenty-three years, Doree Holman; three daughters, Lisa Olson of Maple Valley, WA, Monica Holman of Custer, WA, Marcella Columbo of woodinville, WA; one stepdaughter, Darla Maynard of West Virginia; and five grandchildren. Don was an incredible man with the most amazing sense of humor. A gathering of family and friends was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Holman to celebrate Dons life. No other services will be held. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Dons name to the new cancer wing at Highline Hospital.
