Lynn M. Holm, 59, of Clatskanie died Oct. 31, 2011, at home. He was born Aug. 19, 1952, in St. Paul, Minn., to Franklin and Marilyn (Behrends) Holm and moved to the local area from Southern California 37 years ago. Lynn served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, earning his GED in the military. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and was a hard-working member of the United Steelworkers Union. He enjoyed fishing, relaxing at home, and time wiht family and friends. Lynn had a great sense of humor and was a man of integrity. He was a loving husband and father and a friend to all who knew him. He married Joan M. Kent in Bloomington, Calif., in 1972. She survives him at home. Also surviving are four children and their spouses, Lynnette and Eric Ostling, Kimberly and Lance Rafn and Jeremy and Cynthia Holm, all of Kelso, and Amanda and Mihai Patriche of Kent, Wash; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Zonneville of Ontario, Calif; two brothers, Steve Holm and Terry Holm, both in California; and 11 precious grandchildren. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lon Bird. A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Alston Corner Assembly of God Church in Rainier.
