Artice grew up and attended school in Prineville. Artice married Clarence Allen in 1947 and spent the first few years of marriage living on a ranch in Paulina. They moved to Prineville in 1951. In 1963, Clarence and Artice moved to Powell Butte. Artice was instrumental in raising, breeding and selling cattle. Those cows brought her joy and aggravation. Thanks to her family, she was able to enjoy them to the last branding. Followed with daily discussions of what to sell and what to keep. Artice loved spending time with her family hunting, fishing and camping in the Ochocos. Artice is survived by son, Joe (Judy) Allen; daughter, Penny Allen; grandchildren Brian (Neva) and their children, Kierra, Mica, EJ, Rebecca and Clayton; Clay (Casie) and their children, Benny, Zac, Jace and Maycee; Katie (Zach) Garrett; and her beloved baby brother, Gerald (Linda) Gage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 2002 and son, "Spud" Eddie Allen, in 1990.     Robert (Bobby) John Durkee of Prineville died at his home from a heart related problem on Sun., April 1. He was 53 years old.     
    He was born Aug. 25, 1947 to Lloyd and Mary (Gage) Durkee in Prineville. He attended schools in Crook County where he also graduated from high school. He joined the US Navy See Bees as a Heavy Equipment Operator. In 1968 he married Linda Phelps in Prineville. He served two tours in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. After returning from the Navy he attended two years of college at COCC. After college he worked for Les Schwab for approximately five years. He then owned numerous businesses in Prineville and settled into the real estate business expanding to real estate development and contracting.     
    He enjoyed fishing (particularly in Alaska), hunting, spending time with family and drinking coffee at Barr's Cafe visiting with friends. He and his wife Linda enjoyed traveling to their winter home in Yuma, Arizona.     
    Survivors include his wife Linda of Prineville; parents, Lloyd and Mary Durkee of Prineville; son and daughter-in-law R.J. and Sharon Durkee of Prineville; daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Trent Ough of Prineville; granddaughter, Teagan Ough of Prineville; grandson, Taran Ough of Prineville; sisters, Nancy O'Connor of Bend, Susan Conover of Folsom, Calif., and Maria Dawson of Odessa, Texas; brother, Steve Durkee of Prineville and numerous nieces and nephews.     
    Memorial donations may be made in his name to Pioneer Memorial Hospice.

After living in many places in Oregon, the couple moved to Lakeview, Ore. in 1961. Lola was Dr. William Strieby's office manager for 28 years. Pat and Lola owned Lakeview Boot and Shoe Repair for 20 years. When she retired, she was working for Drs. Kim and Jamie Broomfield. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Pat; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Gloria Gage, Ed and Sheila Gage, and daughter and son-in-law Vickie and Brady Feigner; grandchildren, Kaci Castle, Carly and Rod Alves, Krista and Abel Harrington, Jackie and Shea Robinson, Jessica, Jill and Justin Gage, and Kelly Partin; great-grandchildren, Cody and Kiley Castle, Dayton and Benny Alves and Bailey Harrington, Jake, Josh and Ferron Charlton, and Eagle Hewitt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Darrel "Cork" and Judy Gover, and Cliff and Barb Gover; brother-in-law, Jerry "Doop" Gage and wife Linda; sister, Artice Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Bob Gover. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 19, 2010, at 11 a.m., at the Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rich Landrith officiating. A pot luck luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the services. Contributions in memory of Lola may be made to Lakeview Home Health and Hospice, 700 S.     Long-time resident, Kenneth Dove died September 3, 2006, from age related complications.
    Ken was born in Mitchell, Oregon, to Tom and Francis Dove on January 1, 1925.
    Ken graduated from high school just prior to entry into the service completing an agricultural vocational course.
    Ken enlisted in the Army in March 1943. He was trained as a paratrooper and was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Ken participated in the Battle of Normandy where he was wounded in action by enemy shell fire. Ken was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
    After Ken's honorable discharge from the Army, he married Marian Danko on August 21, 1948, in Tacoma, Washington.
    Ken worked at the Mount Rainier Ordinance Depot until 1962 when he went to work for Bonneville Power Administration until 1970 when he purchased Kennewick Disposal. He sold Kennewick Disposal in 1974 and went to work for Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 598 from which he retired in 1985.
    He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Inez and daughter, Mary Capps.
    Ken is survived by his wife, Marian of 58 years; son, Tom and wife Lee Ann Dove of Gig Harbor; son, Tim and wife, Joan Dove of Aberdeen; daughter, Susan and husband, Eddie Alves of Dayton; daughter, Sally and husband, Bob Merk of Pasco; grandchildren, Amy and Brandon Miller, Tim, Kelly, Geri, Mindy, Marcus, Catherine, Rie, Christina, Josh, Noah, Bria, Mike, Jake, Travis, Sam, Randy and Jenny.
    Ken was a man of few words but when he spoke you knew where you stood. He always championed the underdog.
    The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to the staff at Canyon Lakes Restorative and Rehabilitation Center for the care and affection given over the last few years.
    Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park on the corner of 10th and Union in Kennewick.
