Ruth Sitton Rollins of 1949 Haywood Road, died Friday morning, Sept. 13, 19;85, in Pardee Hospital after a long illness.
A native of Transylvania County, she had resided in Gastonia for 18 years before moving to Hendersonville in March. She was a daughter of the late Bert J. Sitton Sr. and Betty McCrary Sitton and was a member of First Baptist Church of Gastonia.
Survivors include her husband, Claude Rollins; her son, Thomas Rollins of Columbia, S. C; five brothers, Harry Sitton of Candler, Tom Sitton of Bethany Beach, Del., Bob Sitton of Hampstead, Md, Charles and Bert Sitton Jr., both of Hendersonville; three sisters, Pauline Harrell of Morganton, Helen Dalton and Sue Sutton, both of Hendersonville; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shepherd's Church Street Chapel with the Rev. William F. Wilkinson. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors. At other times they will be at the home of a brother, Bert Sitton Jr. of 203 Dixon Drive. after 13 September 1985.
