Mark Shawn Belieu, son of Robert Leo Belieu and Wava Wynona (Work) Belieu was born March 11, 1965 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life, suddenly, Thursday, April 1, 2021 in Norwalk, Iowa at 56 years of age. Mark grew up in the New Virginia area and graduated with the I-35 High School Class of 1983. He attended DMACC and then joined the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 33 in Des Moines and retired after working with them for 33 years. Mark married Mary Elizabeth Harper on May 15, 1999 in Medora, Iowa, they made their home near New Virginia, Iowa. Mark was a loving and caring man, he was super generous and would do anything for anybody whenever they needed it. He loved to have a good time and was always happy. Mark enjoyed the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Spring Mushroom Hunting was one of his favorite times of the year. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Wava Belieu, and brother, Franklin Robert Belieu. Mark leaves to cherish his memory; loving wife, Mary Belieu of New Virginia, IA, step-sons, Carl Williams of Des Moines, IA, and Joshua Williams of Winterset, IA. granddaughters, Journey and Makenzi Williams both of Winterset, IA. His brother, Jeff (Karen) Belieu of Indianola, IA, and sister, Misty (George) Hutton of Truro, IA. His mother-in-law, Doris Harper of Peru, IA. Also many relatives, and several friends that were seen as extended family. Memorial contributions may be directed to his family.
