Art Corbaley of Auburn WA died July 21, 2010. He was born at home August 12, 1924 in Puyallup WA. His parents, Glenn A. and Gladys Marie Corbaley along with his brothers Glenn R. and Lawrence preceded him in death. He graduated from Puyallup High School in 1942 and was further educated as a Radio-Signalman in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He attended Refrigeration School in Chicago and worked as a repairman then salesman at Mike Wood Furniture and Appliance in Auburn for 40 years. His unwavering loyalty was demonstrated by his longevity and commitment to his work and family. He married Ruth Elaine Wehmhoff June 23, 1950 and adored his life partner for 60 years. Together they raised 6 children; Carl (spouse Leslie), Craig (spouse Shirley), Sue Wood (spouse Bob), Sally Myers (spouse Ernie), Sandy Combo (spouse Jamey) and Kirk (spouse Kirsten). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild “in the basket”. Art was an avid fisherman, golfer, sports fan, gardener, jokester and lover of all his family and friends.
The public is invited to attend a Memorial Service July 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Auburn First United Methodist Church 100 “N” Street S.E. Internment following at 2:30 p.m. at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent
