  Norma Allen, age 85, went to heaven to join the love of her life, Paul Raymond Allen, on Valentine's Day. They loved each other for 62 years. It was love that inspired Norma to dedicate her life to the service of others; she lived life as a practical expression of her faith. Norma indeed loved the Lord, her husband and family, and ALL the children of the world. As a team, Paul and Norma opened their home countless times to others in need. They took in family members, troubled teens and abandoned babies. Later in life, love led them back to the Philippines. Norma said they were called to the Philippines by God to help orphaned, desperate and abandoned children. They opened a Baby Home ("not an orphanage!" per Norma) where they loved and cared for 147 little ones, age newborn to six years old. Nearly 40 of these children were adopted into families around the world. After four years, this baby home was passed to the care of another loving family. They continued their vision and mission to save children and give them a promising future. Norma and Paul's legacy of love lives on, and continues to inspire others each day. Norma Valeen Allen was born July 27, 1924 to Ira and Helen Aileen Richardson. She was one of three children from the Milliorn - Kirk - Richardson lineage, founding families of Lane County. She leaves behind a brother, Dwane Richardson; her three children, Curtis Lynn Allen, Paula Dean Erickson and Itanna Aileen Murphy; two sons-in-law, Curtis R. Erickson, and Yosafe R. Murphy; five grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews (several spent time in her home) and her beloved cat Chloe. The family is saddened by the loss of this fearless and inspirational woman, friend, mother and spiritual leader. However, we are joyful she is finally reunited with her husband, family members and friends. Services will be held on Sunday, February 28 at 4:00 p.m. At the Bethany Church Fellowship Hall: 92072 Territorial Road, Junction City, OR. Allen was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Cheshire to second-generation Cheshire residents Roscoe and Floy Dorsey Allen. He married Norma Richardson in Bremerton, WA, on Sept. 24, 1944. He graduated from high school. He was employed building lumber mills and power plants throughout the United Sates and the Philippines until his retirement at age 65. After retiring, he and his wife established the Little Children's Home in the Philippines and worked to save the lives of dozens of homeless and sickly children. Their work brought about the adoption of 53 children into homes around the world. His interests included flying airplanes. He was a third-generation member of the Franklin Christian Church in Junction City, where he served as the chairman of the board. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who was a true emissary of God and served as an example of faith, truth and loving goodness. Survivors include his wife; a son, Curtis of Eugene; two daughters, Paula Erickson of Junction City and Itanna Allen of Corvallis; two brothers, Warren of Roseburg and R. Clarence of Eugene; seven grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren. Burial of ashes, Franklin Cemetery in Junction City. after 30 January 2004.

  JUNCTION CITY — A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Franklin Cemetery for Dwane Kirk Richardson of Junction City, who died Oct. 19 of heart failure. He was 82. A celebration of life will be held at Franklin Christian Church in Franklin after the graveside service. He was born Jan. 8, 1930, in Eugene to Ira and Helen Milliron Richardson. He married Sylvia Berg on Aug. 27, 1950, in North Bend. She died May 23, 2007. He attended Junction City public schools. After graduation, he attended trade school and served an apprenticeship in carpentry. Survivors include a son, Kirk of Junction City; a daughter, Linda Loewen of Springfield; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A son, Lane, died previously.
