  Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Oakland Church of Christ with the Rev. Orval Prather of the church and the Rev. Erwin Marshall of Eugene officiating. Interment will follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery, Oakland. Stearns and Little Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

She always talked about how she enjoyed spelling bees and practicing the Palmer Penmanship method. Helen married Delbert Langdon on October 9, 1942, in Roseburg, Oregon. They were married 56 years, and raised ten children, sheep, and a large garden on their Red Hill Ranch. Helen enjoyed her family, latch hook rugs, and word puzzles. Survivors include her children, Joyce Gardner of Red Hill, Oregon; Anna Ellington of Gardiner, Oregon; Lebert Langdon of Dallas, Texas; Roy Langdon of Red Hill; Mary Langdon of Wallowa, Oregon; Betty Sneed of Lakeside, Oregon; Elva Toy of Yoncalla, Oregon; Dorothy Langdon-Dowell of Perrydale, Oregon; Bertha and James Langdon of Red Hill; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Hazel Langdon, who married Delbert's brother, George; brothers, Robert and Martin McCoskey; and infant grandson, Henry Toy. Helen's smiling face and kind nature will be missed by all that knew her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004, at the Yoncalla United Methodist Church in Yoncalla. Minister Robert Lentz will be officiating. Viewing is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Chapel of the Firs in Sutherlin. Graveside services will follow at Yoncalla Pioneer Cemetery in Yoncalla.
