  11am at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Waterville, Rev. Otis
  Borop will officiate and burial will be in the West Blooming Grove
  Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Sutter, Robert Cowles, Robert Fluke, Alan Olson, Daryl Sutter
  and Dennis Schuller. Visitation will be Friday from 2-9pm at the Prosch Funeral Home, Waterville. He

• Obituary*: An obituary appeared in the Louis Sutter, 38 year old employee of the Waseca Canning Co. was instantly killed Thursday morning in the company's freezer room where he and Melvin Kopischke were working in a temperature of about 11 degrees below zero. Just how the accident happned is not known but it is apparent that Mr. Sutter's clothing caught in some manner around the fast revolving line shaft that runs through the freezer room and in an instant he was pulled off his feet and whirled around with the shaft. (the story continues with speculation about how it happened) Louis Levi Sutter was born at Waterville, Nov. 19, 1908 and had just celebrated his 38th birthday two days before his death. He was a son of Charles F and Lillian Sutter. He had lived in Waterville, Kilkenny and Northfield, previous to the family moving to Waseca county in 1913. Louis worked with his father on the farm and did trucking before he entered the service in March 1942. He went overseas in April 1945, and saw service in France and other parts of Europe with a medical unit. He returned to this country in September, 1945, when he received his discharge from the army. Last June he accepted employment with the Waseca Cannning Co. and was with that firm throughout the summer and fall. He is survived by his father, Charles Sutter, 510 2nd Ave, NW and by the six brothers and one sister. The brothers are Ervin L Sutter, Boston, Mass; Roy R Sutter, Racine, Wis; Carl Sutter, Elysian; Elmer E, John W, an George O all of Waseca. Mrs. Norbert Cowles, Elysian is an only sister. The Waseca Canning Factory was closed following the accident and for the funeral which was held Friday, at the Immanuel Methodist Church of Blooming Grove. It was an extremely large funeral, with members of both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars post turning out enmasse to pay their respects to a departed comrade. Rev. Benjamin A Perkins of the Blooming Grove churches and Rev. Chas. Crouch of Kenyon, former Blooming Grove pastor, conducted the funeral service. The pall bearers were Alvin Manthey, Frank McDonough, Howard Powell, Wilfred Kopischke, Edward Harder adn Marvin Robran. Burial was in the church cemetery.
