The deceased was in banking most of his adult working life; first in Mohall, then at the Windom State Bank and finally with the First Service Corporation, predecessor affiliate of the First Bank Systems, Inc. a bank holding company. He joined that organization in 1929. He and his wife moved to California for a number of years after retirement, living in the city of Garden Grove. He and a number of other senior citizens formed a Senior Citizens group in the city of Santa Ana, which is still a going concern after 25 years. The Kannes returned to Minnesota in 1969 to be near the family. He and his wife spent the last 10 years in LeSueur. There was a memorial service in Sun City, AZ on Feb. 4. He will be buried in Windom.   always bright and cheerful to those who were around her. She is survived by her father and
  mother, eight brothers and five sisters. The funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 1st, Rev.
  Pfaff officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the Immanuel
  Church. after 27 September 1911.
