  Ellie was born in Goldendale, Washington on December 5th 1920. Ellie's father Bill Sr. was a Pharmacist and included in her family were; Mother, Margaret and big brother, Bill Jr. The BULLARD family moved to Ione Washington the following year where Bill Sr. purchased and established his first pharmacy. Little brother, Wallace, was born 2 years later. In June, 1930, when Ellie was 10 years old the family moved to Gold Beach, Oregon, where they established BULLARD's Pharmacy. Ellie lived in a big house on the hill and attended Gold Beach schools until she graduated as Valdictorian of her class in 1938. She attended Oregon State University for 1 year. On July 23rd, 1940, she married Vernon LeRoy Turner. Vernon and Ellie's first 3 children were born in Gold Beach: Vernite Janet, Philip Lee, and Gloria Jean. Vernon went to work for the State Highway Department and the family of 5 began to move around the state. They lived in Mitchell, Detroit, Remote, and Bridge before settling down in Coquille. They purchased a home in Coquille and the family increasd by 2; Suzanne Joyce and Brian Dale (Baby brother). Ellie worked in the Coquille Hotel for a few years as a cleaning maid to help support the now family of seven. The 3 older siblings were soon out on their own, and the family of 4 moved to Bandon. In 1965 Ellie went to work at Southern Goos General Hospital as a Nurse's Aide and in 1968 attended Southwest Oregon Community College in Coos Bay where she graduated as a Nurse receiving her LPN License. She continued working at the Bandon Hospital until 1971. The family moved to Bend, Oregon and Ellie worked at St. Charles Medical Center until she retired. After Vernon passed away she moved to Mt. Angel to care for her aging mother, Margaret. Ellie and her mother moved to Salem 5 years later wher Vernita and Ellie cared for Margaret until she passed away. Ellie the moved to Sundial Mobile Home Park where she lived from 1990 until the time of her death.
  
  Ellie was very active at Sundial. She swam, shot pool, played pinochle and bingo, went to Bible studies, sat with friend and knitted. She was a regular at Church and Solos (Christian singles ministry) and quilted on Thursdays at Gates Church. Ellie knitted, crocheted, tatted, did needlepoint, embroidery, and numberous other crafts. She was a long time TOPS menber and held every office available. Ellie was a wonderful Mother and loved attending family funtions even if it was her in-laws family. She was active in Home Extention and freely gave of her time and energy through out her lifetime. Ellie will be greatly missed and cherished by many, many friends and family! We love you, Mom! We miss you! After 22 October 1994.
