Mr. Minske was born in Germany, settled in this county in 1853, and leaves a wife and seven children, three sons and four daughters, all single, but one son Wm. and one daughter, wife of Wm. Frank of Wilton. Mr. Minske had been a great sufferer for 20 years with palsy, and death was a relief to him. The funeral was held yesterday at one o'clock pm from the house, and the remains laid to rest in the August Minske cemetery in Iosco.-- Waseca Radical--16 Sep 1891--Frederick W Minske died at this home in
    Iosco at 4 o'clock last Sunday morning, aged 62 years. He had been confined to his house for the past twenty-three years by shaking palsy, and after patiently waiting many years death has come to his relief. He was born in Brandenburg, Prussia, in 1829, and settled in Iosco, this county, on the farm where he died, on the 28th of May, 1856. The funeral was held at the residence of deceased last Tuesday, Rev. W Pagenhart conducting services, and the remains were followed to their resting place in the Minske cemetery by a large concourse of mourners and friends. Mr. Minske leaves a wife, seven children and
    seven grandchildren. And thus another old settler has gone to his long home. May he rest in peace. after 13 September 1891.

  • Obituary*: An obituary appeared in the GRANDMA STOLZ DIED ON TUESDAY--FUNERAL OF WELL KNOWN RESIDENT TO TAKE PLACE THIS AFTERNOON--Mrs. Louise Stoltz a Waseca resident and one of the oldest residents of this city, died early Tuesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John F Krassin, 917 South State street. Her health had been failing for three months and death was due to the infirmities of old age. Louise Minske was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Minske and was born near Berlin, Germany on December 5, 1842. The family came to America in 1855, the trip across the Atlantic ocean taking seven weeks. They moved to Wisconsin, and deceased lived in Milwaukee for a time and then came to Waseca county and was married at the age of 16 to Chris Hatsaul. They settled in St. Mary township and the husband later enlisted in the army and died shortly after being mustered out at Fort Snelling, leaving the widow and two little daughters alone on the farm. One of the daughters died in childhood and the other, Mrs. Emma Wendlandt, died a few years ago. She was married a second time on Feb. 9, 1866, to Fred Stoltz, who died on April 25, 1899. She is survived by six children, Mrs. John Krassin of Waseca; Henry Stoltz of St. Mary; John Stoltz and Mrs. Paul Rudolph of New Effington, SD; Mrs. Wm Gritzmaker and Mrs. Ben Clement of Santa Rosa, CA. There are also 30 grandchildren
    and 16 great grandchildren. A half sister, Mrs. Amelia Burger of Salem, Ore., also survives. The funeral will be held at 1:30 this afternoon from the house and at 2pm from the ME church with Rev. WI Kern officiating. Burial will be in Woodville cemetery. Six grandchildren will act as pall bearers, Chas. Stoltz, Herman Wendlandt, Arthur, Roy, Henry and John Krassin, Jr.--5 May 1932--Waseca paper- on Thursday, 5 May 1932 Waseca, Waseca County, Minnesota.
