His Rev War pension statement of July 1834, S6774, made at age 75, Pendleton District, SC, is in memories - and there is family history in it as well.
  
  After the war, Absalom Cleveland lived variously at times in the State of North Carolina, in South Carolina, in the State of Georgia, and, by 1830, he again lived in Pendleton district South Carolina to be near his family. His years in Georgia seem to have been spent in Franklin County, where he was a fortunate drawer as Rev Soldier (R.S.) on the 1827 GA land lottery. Ga historic newspapers.
