Napa-Elvis (Jack) Goodwin, 69, of 2169 W. Lincoln Ave., died Monday in a local hospital after a short illness.
A native of Blackfoot, Idaho, he was a Napa resident for nine months and a Vallejo resident for 33 years.
Mr. Goodwin was the former owner of Goodwin's Furniture Sales in Vallejo, Benicia and Sacramento. He was manager of Home Furniture in Vallejo for four years until retirement.
He was a member of the Vallejo Exchange Club, Napa Elks Lodge and a charter member of the Carmichael Elks Lodge.
Mr. Goodwin is survived by his widow, Rena; two daughters, Mrs. Jackqueline Hoekstra of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Donna Wortman of Napa; two sons, Bob and Bill Radi, both of Napa; two brothers, Ed and Elliott, both of Spokane, Wash; a sister, Mrs. Vietta Shaw of Gresham, Ore; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Treadway and Wigger Funeral Chapel with Napa Elks Lodge members officiating. Burial will be in Napa Valley Memorial Gardens.
